As an online student how can I use Summit borrowing?

Summit is a group of academic libraries in the PNW that use a shared library catalog to easily lend material to each other for free through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Submit an Interlibrary Loan (ILL) request if you need something that isn't available in the EOU Libraries collection and we will try to get it for you. Material borrowed from Summit-member libraries generally arrives within three to five business days. Member Libraries are listed on this page.

If you are an EOU student that lives near one of the other Summit member libraries, you can go to the Summit library nearest location and have them create a visiting patron account for there. You can use this account to check items out at that library, and also use that account to place requests for items located at other Summit libraries. 

The benefit is that you are able to get the materials much more quickly and also avoid having to mail them back to the EOU Library.
